A message from Steve Hall

We continue to coordinate with MDHHS.  We have a call this afternoon.  The risk to our community remains low.  I am still more concerned about influenza.  You can utilize our website as a resource.  We have direct links to the CDC, WHO, and State of MI Coronavirus pages.  They have the most up to date information.  Here’s a direct link to our website:

Important to focus on prevention of respiratory viruses:

o             Wash your hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds. If soap and water are not available, use an alcohol-based hand sanitizer.

o             Avoid touching your eyes, nose, and mouth with unwashed hands.

o             Avoid close contact with people who are sick.

o             Stay home when you are sick.

o             Cover your cough or sneeze with a tissue, then throw the tissue in the trash.

o             Clean and disinfect frequently touched objects and surfaces.

I also plan to send a letter to all of our prosecutors next week that touches on health officer powers regarding isolation and quarantine, etc.

We (CMDHD) are meeting internally Monday to continue our planning.  More information will be coming out after that.

Hope this helps.
