Full-Time 911 Dispatcher
Gladwin County Central Dispatch is seeking qualified applicants interested in joining our 911 team. This is a career position in public safety communications within the Gladwin County Sheriff Office. Gladwin County dispatchers communicate with the general public, Law, Fire and EMS agencies. Applicants must possess exceptional organizational skills, be able to multi-task, data entry, communicate effectively and are required to possess quick decisions making skills in emergency situations. This position is required to work days, evenings, nights, weekends, overtime and holidays. This is a full-time position, working 12 hour shifts with excellent benefits. Minimum requirements are a high school diploma or equivalent, must pass a criminal background check, ability to type fluently, possess computer skills, outstanding multi-tasking skills, ability to handle and perform well under stress and excellent customer service skills. Testing of quality applications will be conducted.

Full-Time Corrections Officer

The Gladwin County Sheriff’s Office is currently seeking dependable and motivated applicants for a Full Time Correctional Officer. This position has health insurance and includes dental and vision). Starting salary $17.54/hr. Which includes a pension plan (20 years of service at age 55) an optional 457 retirement plan, Paid time off, and 12 ½ paid holidays. Training, sponsorship through a Corrections Academy. (Successful completion of a Corrections academy can be applied towards college credit)
Skillset required: good communication skills (written and oral), ability to work with others, multitask and computer skills. A High School diploma or GED and a valid Driver’s License are required for employment. Applicants must be able to work varying shifts to include weekends and holidays. No current criminal activity or felony convictions.

Full-Time District Court Magistrate/Court Administrator
The District Court Magistrate / Court Administrator adjudicates matters before the 80th District Court on behalf of the people of Gladwin and Clare Counties and the State of Michigan, and performs other judicial functions within the authority of district court magistrates as specified in the Michigan Complied and State Acts.
