VETERANS BANNER PROJECT

FROM KEN ROBERTS:
The Gladwin County Office of Veterans Affairs is seeking your assistance in recognizing our local veterans by sponsoring banners to be placed on the city’s light poles for a period leading up to Veterans Day (November 11th) and to remain displayed for one week after. This type of display not only brings recognition to the men and women who have proudly served our country but also lets them know that their community appreciates them.
In addition to friends and family sponsors, we are also offering an opportunity for our local business community to sponsor a veteran. For $200.00, businesses can choose to sponsor a specific veteran (perhaps one of their employees) or purchase a banner at the bottom of the banner they have sponsored and, if possible, the banner will be placed on the pole closest to their business.
Any funding received in excess of the project’s actual costs will be divided between the Gladwin County Veterans Relief Fund (for use to help Veterans with emergent needs) and the Gladwin County Veterans Memorial project.
Please do not hesitate to contact me if you have any questions or concerns.
